Day 3

We bought 3 days of the Hop-On Hop-Off bus, we will not be driving as we are too old to learn to drive on the left side. I can't do it and no way will I ride with John if he tried so this is a good option for us. Today we did day one of that. Stop #17 by Tower Bridge is where we embarked this morning. We saw many sites along the Red Line and half way around that we switched to the Blue Line. That went in a loop and returned us to the Red Line to return to Stop #17.

It was certainly a crowded day in London. I think the is something "special" going on per the recording on our bus. Maybe it is always this crowded? We got off by Victoria station and walked around a little bit. Then we popped into a Pub called Greene King and had the Traditional Roast lunch for our main meal of the day.

Being stuffed after that we felt like a nap but we soldiered on. We crossed the Thames a few times, saw multiple monuments, admired the architecture, marveled at the astounding parks, and generally enjoyed people watching all along the way. Later in the day we bought an ice cream from a cart as we waited for the bus. The buses do run pretty frequently but they get stuck in traffic just like anyone else!
